Is America ready for a vegan president? New age guru Baba Ram Dass and veteran peacenik and folk singer Pete Seeger think so.
They have endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich, who endorses a platform of peace, cleaning up the environment, alternative medicine, and organic food.
He wants to make war 'archaic,' and claims "We have become so enamoured of our technology that we forget the power of the human heart to transform any condition.' Ram Dass, author of the best-selling hippy bible, Be Here Now, speaks for a growing minority and believes that Kucinich can put the heart back into government. Pollsters though, barely rate Kucinich chances. But to borrow from John Lennon's famous lyrics: You may say he's a dreamer, but he's definitely not the only one...

The legal battle to stop the EU banning over 5,000 vitamin and mineral products has begun in earnest. The Alliance for Natural Health has launched a legal challenge to the directive which will ban the sale of 300 nutrients, including important supplements such as calcium and potassium.
