ARCHIVE for Wednesday 23rd January 2002 - Alternative face-lifts
There is an alternative to radical surgical face-lifts.
You can now face up to a risk-free, new look with a non-invasive, holistic
therapy which uses tiny electrical impulses in a restful, relaxing
treatment.
Top actress Rula Lenska has found the Perfector system effective in
rejuvenating her face. She was treated by Thames Valley practitioner
Christine Stephens
Using two hand-held probes, Christine stimulates the circulation in the
skin; this removes toxins, tones the skin and works the facial muscles.
"It is so relaxing," she says, "that clients often fall asleep. And there is
no risk. It is tried and tested.
"The treatment helps lift the contours of the face, neck and jaw line and
reduces line and wrinkles. The earlier you start using it, the more
effective it is."
A minimum of six hour-long sessions costing between £35 to £50 each are
recommended, far cheaper than surgery.
Originally developed for stroke victims, treatment is mostly applied to the
face but can be used to fight the flab elsewhere. Perfector works well in
combination with reflexology and aromatherapy. The facial gels and creams
used are vegetarian and made with essential oils.
