Archive for Wednesday 22nd January 2003 - The Kabbalah
This ancient spiritual traditional - including the ³real 10 commandments²
revealed to Moses has captivated Madonna, Mick Jagger, Elizabeth Taylor
and Naomi Campbell.
Ironically, for some of richest people on the planet, the Kabbalah teaches
that ³material objects are not what we¹re really seeking in life. What we
are really searching for is spiritual energy.²
Rabbi Yehuda Berg in The Power of the Kabbalah (£10.99, Hodder Mobius)
explains that the cosmos is like the proverbial iceberg with one per cent
consisting of the visible physical universe, the remaining 99 is a glorious,
transcendent, spiritual but invisible world of light. He explains:
³Everything that a human being truly desires from life is spiritual light.
When we experience joy we have made contact with the 99 per cent realm
through some action that has taken place in the one per cent realm perhaps
you closed a significant business deal, but the joy you feel flows from the
99 per cent.²
Great intellects like Einstein, Plato, Aristotle and Newton studied the
Kabballah. Its wisdom was first recorded by the prophet Abraham 4000 years
ago, and was later expanded into a work called the Zohar, which was only
deciphered just over 100 years ago.
Kabbalists also believe in a transforming, mystical power emanating from
Hebrew letters.
The wisdom of the Kabbalah
The purpose of life is spiritual transformation
