Archive for Wednesday 10th July 2002 - Crystal healing
If hay-fever is ruining your summer, perhaps it is time you turned to crystal
power for relief. By doing so you will be tapping into a natural healing
energy used by ancient cultures. They often wore crystal jewellery for its
health-giving properties, rather than for aesthetic reasons.
The ancients recognised the healing power of jewels and crystals and wore
them, perhaps according to prescription, to ease stress and to cure and p
revent sickness. The current new age revival has regenerated great
interest in these medicinal minerals. But how exactly do they work? Those
of you who did the muscle-testing exercise, featured recently on this page,
with the mobile phone will be glad to know that the power that mobile phones
sap from your body can be restored if you hold or carry a quartz crystal
with you. Scientist and leading crystal healer Harry Oldfield explains:
“Crystals act as a balancing agent on the body’s energy field after it has
been depolarised by the mobile phone, replacing the negative reaction with a
positive reaction.
“Crystals represent the most ordered form of matter in existence, their
molecules are geometrically aligned in an atomic lattice structure. So just
to move them into a person’s energy field restores their energy sensitivity
back to a balanced level.”
In the healing tradition of the North American Indians, they believe that
use of crystals creates a sacred loop empowering the healer with the
ability to cure. Quartz is more mundanely used in watches to create a total
precise and accurate signal to ensure perfect time-keeping. Oldfield uses
crystals to treat a whole range of ailments, from hay-fever to cancer.
I recently tried one of his mobile units which pulse energy through a small
tube of multi-coloured crystals for my hayfever with remarkable results. I
placed it a hand’s breadth below my throat and within a couple of minutes my
itching eyes, irritated sinuses and sneezing ceased completely.
“The setting we use for hay-fever,” Harry told me, “stimulates the heart
chakra - or energy centre - which stimulates the thymus which controls the
immune system. The energy message tells the heart chakra to calm down and
the symptoms subside rapidly.” These portable devices are not cheap but the
one I used worked amazingly well on me and also on the most sceptical of
hay-fever sufferers I had with me.
