That’s the astonishing discovery in an amazing series of scientific tests
which could revolutionise organic farming and offer an alternative to
genetically-modified crops.
The tests, conducted on a Somerset farm by parapsychologist, Dr Serena
Roney-Dougal, reflect the ancient custom of praying for the success of crops.
Spiritual healer Marke Pawson says: “I used the same methods as on a human
patient. I stand back as a personality, open up and become a transmitting agent
for the healing energies which come through me. I treated each packet of seeds
for a couple of minutes.”
Untreated control packs of healthy organic seeds were planted at the same
time. Not only did the test seeds yield 10-15 per cent more growth than the untr
eated seeds, they were also significantly more resistant to slug and fungal
damage.
The boost in crop yields equals the claims made for GM seeds. Dr Roney-Dougal
told the Mirror: “The healing is used in a positive, proactive sense. The
healers are naturally enhancing the power of nature to help her do a better job.
I see this work as an antidote to the unnatural methods of GM farming.”
To date her results show that organic crops can now match the harvests
achieved by conventional farming. And as the research continues, its outcome could
dramatically effect the future of both healing and farming, not to mention our
beloved countryside.
