12th March 2003 - The power of water
The
power of water to affect our lives knows no bounds. Recent experiments
have proved that not only can water store information but it reacts
to prayer and music.
Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto has demonstrated these hidden
powers by taking thousands of pictures of frozen water crystals.
Pure water forms into beautiful crystalline forms; polluted water
does not. Water appears to ‘like’ classical music but is not so
keen on hard rock. Communal experiments in Japan yielded surprising
results: when the prayers of local people cleansed the waters
of a polluted lake.
Emoto explains the phenomenon by reducing the universe to its
most minute component, which he calls the Hado – ‘the smallest
unit of energy. Its basis is the energy of human consciousness.’
We thus have the power to influence the hado in water. Conventional
science is predictably sceptical. But Emoto’s discoveries give
credence to the vibrational qualities of homeopathy – where minute
amounts of healing energy are ‘stored’ in pills.
Emoto believes that Hado ‘creates words. Words are the vibrations
of nature. Therefore beautiful words create beautiful nature.
Ugly words create ugly nature. This is the root of the universe.’

Water Day
Nearly one in three people on the planet suffers from water-borne
diseases. The theme of the UN’s World Water Day – on March 22
– is ‘Water for the future’. It is a call to us all to improve
the quality and quantity of fresh water for future generations.
