Archive for Wednesday 7th May 2003 - Druidry

Druidry is part of our everyday lives, according to author Cassandra Eason. Our national obsession with gardening – a way of communing with nature – is just one example of the influence this ancient wisdom has in our lives. Eason, author of The Modern-Day Druidess (Piatkus, £9.99), says: “Druidry is essentially a very simple form of natural spirituality that helps people take energy from nature while giving energy back by conservation, planting and feeding wildlife. It is part of our genetic heritage. The whole point of Druidry is to connect to the Moon and the seasons and to get to know our own habitat. If we lose connection with nature, we are like uprooted flowers. Our spirit languishes.”
