This week in Astro News:
The final confrontation between Saturn and Pluto takes place this weekend.
Reader Duncan Collins has written to ask about some interesting
patterns of events that he has noticed in his life.
Every eleven and a half years his life changes completely, and he has also
noticed that these cycles seem to alternate between good and bad. At the
moment he is in the middle of a negative phase.
It is probable, therefore, that Duncan is extremely sensitive to the cycles
of Jupiter, which are just a little under 12 years in length. If an
individual life follows the rhythms of one particular planet so closely, then
the birth chart will usually have that planet very prominently placed or in
some strong alignment. The result is that the chart - and the person - is
tuned into that particular planet, as though to a radio station. If you like
the kind of music that station plays, then fine: but if not, then you have
problems!
Mr Collins has Jupiter opposed by Uranus, the planet of upheaval,
whose whole purpose is to turn things on their head; and so each time Jupiter
passes its original position, the influence of Uranus kicks in as well, and
whatever he was doing gets turned around. I don’t think there’s any way to
break this cycle, but I would argue that his ‘negative’ cycles probably
aren’t all bad. There’s good in everything if you let yourself be open to
it. At least he knows when the next upheaval is due - and unlike the rest of
us, he can finish what he’s involved with and be ready to move on.
After all, having the timetable of Destiny in your pocket means that you won’t miss the
bus, will you?
Worried about the weather for your UK Jubilee picnic?
Don’t be. According to the
rules of astrological weather forecasting, Venus and Jupiter both bring fine
weather, and there is only one day this year when they are together - this
coming Monday, June 3. So the weather should be glorious. Is this just
coincidence, or do you think there is someone at the Palace with an
astrologer’s book of planetary positions?

Research into Astrology and Infertility by Pat Harris, MSc., D.F.Astrol.S.
I would like to thank everyone who has responded to my earlier notices on Jonathan's website and who volunteered to take part in the research that I am conducting as part of my PhD in astrology and health psychology at Southampton University, UK. I now have quite a number of people taking part which will help me in conducting my study into factors that may or may not correlate with fertility treatment outcome. I should have a progress report out soon. However, I am still looking for women who are currently pregnant - not necessarily as a result of fertility treatment - and who would like to contact me about details of my research to see if they would like to take part. My email address is: pharris@interalpha.co.uk
