This week in Astro News:
Aren’t we free from Saturn and Pluto yet?
Not quite, no. Although the
troublesome pair have made their last contact to each other, it is still
possible for a third planet to carry the influence of one to the other, and
switch them both on again, as it were.
The third planet needs to be powerful in itself, and distance between the
other two must be no more than a few degrees. The Sun does exactly that this
weekend, by opposing Pluto, and while still in alignment to it, conjoining
Saturn, thus completing the circuit. So I still expect to see a few
developments in the usual political hotspots around the world before we
finally bid goodbye to these celestial troublemakers.
Once the Sun is out of contact, though, which it will be in a few days, the
situation should rapidly cool, and you’ll be pleased to know that no other
planet can complete the circuit before the main two troublemakers have
separated for good. There will be occasional rumbles, but these are the same
as hearing thunder as the storm goes away from you; it’s over, basically, and
the Sun will be out again soon (in a meteorological sense, this time!).
And talking of rumbles, when Mercury turns round and starts to move forward
on Saturday, all that has recently been concealed - or buried, as Stephen
Byers’ department used to put it - will gradually be revealed. There’s a lot
more to the news stories of the last three weeks that we haven’t been told,
and it will be fun to watch it all unfold.
Next Monday's eclispe...
...of which Jonathan will have more to say on the day, is
a rare type where the Moon doesn’t appear to cover the Sun exactly, but
leaves a thin circle of light around the edge. This is called an annular
eclipse. It’s very spectacular, but it only lasts for twenty-two seconds and
you need to be in the middle of the Pacific to see it! Nonetheless, its
astrological effect will be noticeable. It occurs at the very same place in
Gemini where Venus and Mars met a month ago, so all those whose lives
responded to the celestial lovers in mid-May can expect more of the same this
month, too.

Research into Astrology and Infertility by Pat Harris, MSc., D.F.Astrol.S.
I would like to thank everyone who has responded to my earlier notices on Jonathan's website and who volunteered to take part in the research that I am conducting as part of my PhD in astrology and health psychology at Southampton University, UK. I now have quite a number of people taking part which will help me in conducting my study into factors that may or may not correlate with fertility treatment outcome. I should have a progress report out soon. However, I am still looking for women who are currently pregnant - not necessarily as a result of fertility treatment - and who would like to contact me about details of my research to see if they would like to take part. My email address is: pharris@interalpha.co.uk
