Jonathan Cainer Zodiac Forecasts

PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY
January 28th to 31st 2002

MONDAY JANUARY 28
Gobbledygook

Last Thursday, these two letters turned up. "Dear Jonathan, I do not understand a single word you write. Your phraseology means that for ordinary people like myself your column becomes gobbledygook. Do you do this on purpose every day so that we are unable to tell if your predictions are right or wrong? Yours disappointedly, K Mapstone, Glastonbury." "Dear editor, after a few months of reading Jonathan Cainer's horoscopes I am totally baffled. I cannot work out what he is trying to say. Yours faithfully, P Pearce, Liverpool." Ouch!!!

TUESDAY JANUARY 29
Was Puff innocent?

A reader called Carol writes; "I really don't think that little Susie was innocent. Why would any friend say ooh-la-la just because they fell asleep? Usually people take a nap after 'the deed'. I think a lot of baby boomers (including my mom) try to protect their era by denying things that happened. Did kids not have sex back then, or drink underage? I think they did...and they know they did. They weren't as innocent as they want us to believe they were. Just listen to 'Puff The Magic Dragon'. Now don't tell me that song was not about smoking weed!"

WEDNESDAY JANUARY 30
Mark Winter

Who was born on this day? What did they say? Check out our Birthday Words section. Also, Mark Winter's page updates today with an article on Healing - the links are in the left hand frame... enjoy.

THURSDAY JANUARY 31
Cusp confusion

A reader called Alan writes, "I'm a Scorpio, but only just. Now, as I understand it, there are thirty degrees in each sign and daily horoscopes are calculated from the "zero degree". So if I am almost a Sagittarian, should I read Sagittarius instead - or perhaps as well?"
Dear Alan, is Inverness any more or less Scottish than Glasgow? You were born while the Sun was in Scorpio. That makes you a Scorpio, plain and simple. You only have reason to feel confused if your birthdate is one which appears, in some astrology columns to belong to Scorpio and in others, to Sagittarius. If so, click on the link in the left hand frame: Check Your Zodiac Sign and clear up the matter forever. And for the record, other astrologers may use the "zero degree technique" - but I don't!
