PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

October 10 2011 to October 16 2011

Monday October 10
Apocalypse No

Jonathan,
I'm surprised you don't know the difference between Elenin, a comet, and Nibiru, a planet. Elenin has indeed been close to us lately but is insignificant; the 'problem' is with Nibiru, whose orbital path is now coming closer to Earth and may well have caused recent earthquakes and tsunamis. It is said that the last time this happened, we had the Great Flood. If you have seen Nibiru's approach, I don't think you should hide it. Carolann

Dear Carolann,
Nibiru does not exist. It is simply a fantasy that has gone viral on the internet. Please don't worry.

Tuesday October 11
Blame it on the Moon

There's a Full Moon tonight. Be ready for emotional outbursts, intense exchanges, unexpectedly deep emotions and powerful yearnings. Expect moments of madness leading to inexplicable actions. Look out for confessions, concessions, admissions and invitations, all thinly disguised as jokes or light-hearted remarks. People don't always say what they mean and one way they often compensate for this is to pretend that they don't mean what they say. But if somewhere in your world, a process has been slowly building up a head of steam, you may find that over the next 24 hours or so, it moves on!

Wednesday October 12
Unforgettable!

Hi Jonathan,
11.11.11 isn't actually 11.11.11; it's 11.11.2011. Why do you think this is significant? Steve

Dear Steve,
I remember people saying we were all celebrating the millennium in the wrong year. There was no Year Zero so it couldn't happen till January 2001. But most of us celebrated it on December 31, 1999, even if a few sticklers for detail refused to join in. Significance is gloriously democratic! 11.11.11 matters because millions believe it matters.

Dear Jonathan,
Remembrance Day is always the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. John

Dear John,
I won't forget.

Thursday October 13
Quick As A Flash

Dear Jonathan,
Almost certainly nothing travels faster than light. The vast majority of people suspect an error in the neutrino measurement process. Your suggestion that thought travels faster than light has to be wrong. Thought requires chemical impulses in the brain. Thought signals travel through a medium. Light does not need a medium to travel through and hence is the absolute ultimate speed. Richard

Hi Jonathan,
I thought you would enjoy this joke... 'The bartender says, "We don't allow any faster-than-light neutrinos in here!" A neutrino walks into a bar.' Well I thought it was funny! Susan

Friday October 14
Full Speed Behind

Dear Jonathan,
In 1956 Dr E. C. G. Sudarshan and Dr V. K. Deshapande, Indian scientists, published a paper on a particle that travels at a speed faster than light. They named it Tachyon. Research was also done between 5000 to 7000 BC. It has been documented in Sanskrit. This language is not understood by many in the 21st century. Here, energy waves travelling faster than light are called Manojava. There are many other powerful energy waves, which we have yet to discover. Any interested person can contact me. Mrudul

Dear Mrudul,
I will pass on your email to anyone who asks for it.

Saturday October 15
Your Week Ahead

Babies born this week will be Librans - but, depending on the day they enter the world, they may have the Moon in Gemini, Cancer or Leo. All week long, our new arrivals will gain the influence of both Venus and Mercury in Scorpio. So will they be typical Librans? Actually, nobody is ever truly typical of their sign. Our 'sun sign' describes our outward personality... but we have each of the 12 signs in our psychological make-up somewhere. This week's little Librans, for example, will be a little more intense and 'Scorpionic' when it comes to expressing themselves.
