From Here to Eternity

We've been having a discussion here lately about the definition of infinity and eternity. So far, the key contributors have been Aquarians but that's just because I first raised the topic in a forecast for this sign. To me the idea that all of time and space began with a 'Big Bang' smacks of an arrogant attempt to explain away a concept that naturally (and rightly) defies all logical understanding. But I'm very happy to hear from anyone of any sign who has a view on the matter, even though I suspect the debate could er... go on forever!

Astroeulogical Forecast

Dear Jonathan,
I have waited five years to tell you this but, on the day of my Father's funeral in 2008 I read out the forecast for his sign as part of his eulogy. You had said "Your stars were cancelled yesterday I'm afraid they are still not reinstated, you will just have to get along without them. Now for some music. What? Not happy? Can't you just accept the way things have turned out? Kick up some fuss this weekend". Just to make that prediction even more relevant, my mother did not play the music he requested! John.

Wednesday October 30

Hi Jonathan,
Something occurred to me when I was watching President Obama trying to deal with the new huge Obamacare website malfunctioning. The site was launched right about the start of Mercury Retrograde's 'shadow'. It's not surprising that he's been having difficulties. He has a Gemini Moon, which means that issues which are emotionally important to him are strongly affected by phases when Mercury is Retrograde. Do you think you could write to him and let him know that things will clear up by end of November? Denise

Dear Denise,
I'm sure he'll be very pleased to hear that.

Thursday October 31
Spookily Accurate

Happy Hallowe'en. Otherwise known, in the world of Christianity as the eve of All Saints (or All Hallows) day. Also known, to those who honour Celtic tradition, as the modern equivalent of the ancient festival of Samhain (pronounced Sow-ain). Like Valentine's Day and Christmas (thus unlike Easter) the date of Hallowe'en never changes. It is strictly chosen by the civil, 'solar' calendar. Some may celebrate it the weekend just before or after but there's no formula for tying Hallowe'en to a particular seasonal Full Moon. Perhaps there should be. It might ensure an even more highly charged atmosphere.

Friday November 1
Square Deal

Some while ago, I mentioned a series of seven rare 'squares' (or right angles) being formed between Uranus and Pluto from 2012-2015. Today, the fourth in the set completes. But it would be misleading to suggest that therefore, something important will happen this very weekend. Astrological influences are always at their most intense just prior to their precise culmination. It might be more accurate to say that something important, which has already been going on for a while, is about to stop happening. Much that has worried us, individually or collectively, may soon start to seem less daunting.

Saturday November 2
Your November Monthly Forecast

November begins with the fourth in the series of seven squares between Uranus and Pluto. These reflect patterns of changes that play out every 30 to 40 years. Much recent tension and drama on the world stage can be ascribed to this current set of alignments... and we're only just starting to see how a 'revolution in attitude' will affect individuals and nations over coming years. What once seemed unthinkable is now only too easy to imagine and while some of that's been bad, we're just now entering a phase where previously unimaginable yet wonderful possibilities reveal themselves too.
