PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

February 23 2015 to March 1 2015

Monday February 23
Merrily We Row Along

Dear Jonathan,
I believe the past, present and future are one. Every time I dream I see all three. Distance and time are irrelevant. Each of us are connected when we dream, just as we are on the internet. Imagine seven billion people dreaming at the same time. What could we achieve? Garry

Dear Garry,

'Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream...' There are some who say the old nursery rhyme is right and life itself is but a dream. In which case, you might ask, 'What could we achieve if we were all to wake up?'

Tuesday February 24
Relatives on Relativity

Dear Jonathan,
I have enjoyed the recent letters regarding speed relativity. After reading one that said the speed of the mass alters the 'speed' of time as we perceive it' I asked myself if that could be why, as I grow older, I find time goes faster. I can remember my parents and grandparents warning me about this. Perhaps it has something to do with the increasing speed of our mass of aging cells depleting. In other words, the rate at which our bodies may be breaking down and moving on could be altering our perception of time! Patricia

Wednesday February 25
Time for Time

Yesterday, Patricia wondered whether 'the rate at which our bodies may be breaking down as we grow older could be altering our perception of time!' Perhaps an expert in physiology will write in to comment. Meanwhile, I've got a theory of my own. If time seemingly speeds up as we age, perhaps it is because we are more familiar with most sights, sounds and experiences. Our minds need not work so hard to take it all in so we spend less time thinking quite so intensely. Thus the solution to 'making time pass more slowly' may be more mindfulness!

Thursday February 26
Pauses for Thought

Jonathan,
My life has been hellish since I was 14 was I born under an unlucky star I have had amazing opportunities but have had to turn them down to look after others Is it possible to be prevented from following your own path Marianne

Marianne,
I've shared your email verbatim. It holds a clue. Fourteen is the age in the 28-year Saturn cycle when we assert our adult boundaries. Did something, then, prevent you from developing yours? Punctuation marks are governed by Saturn too. The answer to both your questions is, 'No... but you need more boundaries!'

Friday February 27
Pluto

Hi Jonathan,
What are your thoughts regarding the Pluto in Leo generation, a bunch of baby-boomers, entering the Pluto in Capricorn phase? Brenda

Dear Brenda,
Pluto was in Leo from, roughly 1938-1958. It entered Capricorn in 2008 and remains there till 2024. While I argue with Pluto's 'demotion' by astronomers, I'm afraid I argue even more vehemently with astrologers who see commonality between all born within a 16 to 20 year span. I feel these slow, distant celestial bodies should be interpreted only by the aspects they make to each other or to 'inner planets' and not by sign!

Saturday February 28
Your March Monthly Forecast

Two significant events occur this month. On March 17, we finally see the last in the series of seven sharp alignments between Uranus and Pluto, which have hung over us like a shadow since 2012. This, alone, is cause for celebration. Then, on March 20, there is a Solar Eclipse. Even if you happen to live in a place from which it is not possible to witness this celestial spectacle, you can still expect to benefit. We will all soon start to understand what has been holding us back, and then see a way to create a brighter future.

Sunday March 1
