Last week's results Sometimes it happens – and last Monday it did. Hundreds entered my Psychic Challenge, but only 25 per cent correctly guessed that I was thinking of the Wavy Lines symbol. That response is exactly average – what pure chance would suggest, and as regular readers know, this experiment usually generates results that are far from average. Let’s try again this week without letting worldly worries get in the way. Focus on the four symbols, holding your hand over each symbol in turn. When you feel an electric tingle, you've found the one I am telepathically beaming out. click here to email your choice and we will announce the answer next week.

Millions of TV viewers joined me to send healing energy to David Beckham last
month. My aim was to channel the prayers of the nation (at least, the English
part of it) into positive vibrations to speed the healing process. Psychic
experiments don't always go according to plan, however.
Plenty of times I
have tried to teach eager friends to bend spoons: the spoons stay straight
but later, they discover their car keys in their pockets have twisted into
knots. And when I saw Becks on the cover of the Mirror, his fingernails
painted and his body shaved and oiled, I thought, "Whoops! That wasn't meant
to happen!" I'm joking, of course: David has no doubts about his sexuality –
and he's revelling in his status as a sex-symbol to both straight women and
gay men. Goodness knows what Sir Alex Ferguson thinks.
Thankfully, the world
has changed since the Seventies, when homosexuality was barely legal and the
media treated it as either a sin or a joke. Many of my showbiz friends were
forced to deny they were gay - even massive stars like Elton and Freddie. Now
a rising star like Will Young can say, "I'm gay - so what?" and the whole
country applauds.
That revolution didn't happen by accident. It took courage
from a lot of people. Ultimately, self-belief can change the world. Any
prejudice can be overcome if we believe in ourselves and have the sheer guts
to say: "This is who I am - and I'm proud to be me!"
