Some people still think that I do not bend spoons with my mind at all. They
claim that it is just a magic trick. I am not a magician – but my friend David
Blaine is.
David worries me sometimes. He really is as intense as he seems. I spoke with
him just before he was locked into that Plexiglass coffin dangling over the
Thames, and he admitted he was concerned he could suffer irreparable physical
damage during 44 days trapped without food. "It's the last part that scares
me," he said honestly. "I just don't know what will happen."
It was fruitless to try to talk him out of the performance, so I told him
that I believed his best hope of survival lay with the hundreds of millions who
will watch his ordeal on TV. Our collective energy, beamed at that box, could
be strong enough to save him. I'm asking all of you to pray for David, right
now, and to project rays of healing energy at his body. His life could depend on
you.
