Dear Lorna
Jonathan writes:
Leo is indeed a fixed sign - so are Aquarius, Taurus and
Scorpio. It is a big mistake though to assume that all who belong to these
signs will be stick-in-the-muds. The term fixed is better translated as
stubborn, and I suspect that it is your stubbornness which has been
driving, to some extent, your roller-coaster. If Im right the ride will end
when you decide to bend.

In the last few years youve had several planetary transits take place.
Saturn has opposed your moon, which can be compared to the lower swing of the
ride, and contacted your Sun/Uranus conjunction, which might have given you a
need to take a tighter grip on the handles. Further transits have added to
the roller-coaster however, as youve recognised, youre in the middle of
one of the most rewarding periods of your life. Your Uranus opposition next
year is a defining period; youll be more certain of who you are and hence,
the ups and downs will feel more like gentle waves. Benevolent Jupiter is
also on its way in the next couple of years to meet your Venus and Ascendant
bringing wonderful fulfilment.

Pluto has been triggering your chart, demanding that you
throw out some of your old ideas and do some emotional house keeping.
Throwing out what you no longer need - including some types of relationships
- is never easy. But the good news is that the worst of this is over. Things
should begin to settle as the year goes on. By clearing out what you no
longer need youve made space for great steps forward.

Dear Sinead
Jonathan writes:
Scorpios are notoriously sensitive. Because they know how
easily hurt they can be they put up defences which then sometimes isolate
them from the rest of the world. Also, they cling to the past more than they
should. This may be why it has taken you so long to reach your agreement. The
fact that you feel ready to sign now is very healthy. Let it go - and move on.

Theres a lot to be said for positive thinking, so dont worry
about being delusional but be realistic. You do need to think about
clarifying your own identity, particularly because nebulous Neptune has
squared your Sun in the last few years. You may be able to boost your own
income through your own efforts. Security and long-term material stability
should also be considered as Saturn contacts your Jupiter in the next few
years. Youll wind up in quite a comfortable place and this will begin to be
apparent by the end of next year when Jupiter transits your moon in Cancer,
the sign of the home, where both the Moon and Jupiter are strong. Youve
achieved an enormous amount through your experience and for this, youve
already gained.

Guest astrologer Kim Farnell writes:
Youre not being delusional - just positive. The
influence of Jupiter on your chart has filled you with optimism. Having faith
in what the future holds for you, and being ready to grab all the
opportunities life offers has put you in a strong position. Although youll
need to economise and work hard to lay the foundations for the future, that
future looks bright. All you need to do is keep a firm grip on reality and
make sure that you dont overestimate what youre capable of.
