Tuesday May 29th 2001 - Is my music dream a siren call?
I AM working in a well-paid IT job, but ultimately I want to be in the music industry. I am attracted to the idea of packing it in, taking a chance and moving back to Sheffield where I was at university. But I have no idea where I would start. Even more worryingly, I have no idea where it would take me. Would now be the time to take a chance? Are the stars casting a safety net under me at the moment? Can you give me a push in either direction? Where is my niche and will I find it by moving?
Aries Katie (18.04.79)

Dear Katie

Jonathan writes:
You're not the only Aries with itchy feet at the moment but I'd be a little cautious about this impulse, if I were you. Venus is now paying an extra long visit to your sign; producing a strong urge to be more creative. It is also, probably, increasing your chances of falling in love. I suggest you wait till this astrological phase ends, in early June, before acting on your big decision. If a different distraction hasn't taken your mind elsewhere by then, go for it! Astrolivelink's Patty Greenall writes:
I can see that your sun is in Aries, a sign known for its freedom-loving and restless qualities.

The sun represents your vitality, your conscious aims and the way in which you express yourself. Your moon though, is in Capricorn, saying something different. It suggests you would feel more emotionally secure with a steady, stable and reliable position. I notice, too, that your sun links up with Jupiter. This confirms that you aspire to reach and live out much more of the world than an office environment can offer. Mercury also contacts your Jupiter so you've got a yearning for learning and no doubt, travelling would satisfy that urge. Jupiter itself, governs good fortune in life and it is well placed, so, yes; you've got a safety net.

To answer your question more fully, I drew up a "horary" (a chart for the time that I understood your question). In this, the Moon, which represents you, is in the 9th House of further learning and travel. The planets that the Moon next contacts, which are Jupiter and then Mercury are an indication of the action to take place. The message is clear. You need to seek and I have no doubt that, by taking a chance, you will find. Use your youthful energy and initiative. Have faith in the universe. At the end of July 2002, Jupiter returns to the place where it was when you were born. This is a very beneficial time, especially for opportunities and abundance. Open your doors now. Tuesday May 29th 2001 - I'm torn between two lovers
I AM stuck in a horrible situation. I am a typical Leo (5.8.82) and have been in a relationship with a Virgo man (13.9.73) for over two years. I recently fell for a Gemini guy but I am finding it hard to tear myself from my Virgo. Should I stay in my secure but dull relationship safe that I will have someone to grow old with or embark on life with the Gemini. It is so hot, passionate and fiery but on the other hand the Leo-Virgo thing offers stability. Can you reassure me?
Elisa, Liverpool

Dear Elisa

Jonathan writes:
A typical Leo? Oh no you're not - I can tell just from your letter. Typical Leos are confident and self- assured. They don't worry about old age when they are only 18. If you had kids - I might steer you towards the stable Virgo. But hey, you're young. You have a duty to yourself to get experience under your belt. Gemini-Leo has no less potential than Gemini-Virgo. Try it - or spend the rest of your life wondering how things might have been. March 30th 2001

Astrolivelink's Patty Greenall writes:
In your horary chart, Leo is the sign ascending, which represents you, along with the Moon in Gemini in the 11th house of hopes and wishes, showing that your mind is on this Gemini and that you're curious about what the world has to offer. The 7th house cusp, symbolising your present partner is ruled by Saturn, the planet linked with stability but also dullness! Neptune, planet of confusion, is prominently placed, confirming your predicament. Jupiter in Gemini denotes the man you fancy and, as I write, the Moon appears moving from Saturn towards Jupiter.

You are indeed caught between the two. There are signs that your Gemini man may also be with someone else. Tread very carefully. March 30th 2001
