PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

September 17 2018 to September 23 2018

Pushing Your Luck

More Sally Fisher Art here.

Although it may only be a 'minor' Grand Trine, the weekend's relationship between Mercury, Pluto and Jupiter remains powerful enough to play a strong role in the week's cosmic proceedings. With the disruptive influence of Uranus agitating the rules, it brings a chance to prosper in a high-stakes environment. Although Mercury will enable communication, Pluto's poker face suggests that sharing should be on a need-to-know basis. That will strengthen Jupiter's position. Sometimes luck needs a little push!

Quite an Adventure

As Mars makes its last pass in a series of tense relationships with Uranus today, it feels like the final episode of a soap opera. The atmosphere is so electric, no wonder there's a sense of a dramatic crescendo. But with Venus' involvement opposite Uranus, creating an astrological T-square alignment, there's a valuable, pleasurable and stylish aspect to this confluence of events. It asks us to do something exciting, different and daring. Mars' growing link to Jupiter suggests we're in for quite an adventure.

Forgiveness

Dear Oscar,
A while ago I read in my forecast 'To err is human, to forgive divine', which was a favourite saying of my long departed Nan. Just before that, I'd woken from a dream with that phrase in my mind. I think I've finally realised that simply saying in my head, 'I forgive', brings release. We don't always recognise how resentment builds up. It's only taken me 65 years to learn that... so there's hope for everyone! Maggie

Dear Maggie, That's good to hear. Saturn and Neptune's blossoming relationship is making this process easier and even more worthwhile. Best, Oscar.

The Mighty Quintiles

There are lots of helpful 'quintile' angles of 72 degrees currently being formed between various planets. Yesterday, Mars and Jupiter encouraged creative solutions. Today, Venus and Pluto help positive passions, and enable collaboration over superficial differences. But it's tomorrow's rare Saturn and Neptune quintile, not to be seen again until 2032, that's most worth investigating. It helps us intuitively understand one another's philosophies and cultures. With sensitivity, strong foundations can be constructed.

Do What's Right

Mercury converges with the Sun today as they both prepare to enter Libra this Equinox weekend. Meanwhile, Saturn makes its presence felt as it moves from a productive relationship with Neptune and aligns with Mercury. It's as though it has determined to ensure our words remain our bond. Though Neptune can make our intentions vague, it's important to stay true to our goals and honour our promises. As the Equinox approaches, what we do will echo through times to come. So let's do what's right.

Your Week Ahead

Welcome to the Equinox, when the Sun puts on a mesmerising show. Okay, so it might not have the glamour and glitz of an eclipse, but it's a significant moment nonetheless! This particular celestial event exerts its influence without fanfares, celestial fireworks or flashing lights as it brings the chance to look at another side of a familiar story. With this week's Full Moon expressing its energy through a link with industrious Saturn, here come opportunities for realisations that will have far-reaching consequences.
