PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

May 4 2020 to May 10 2020

Beauty in Our Hearts

Mars and Venus (the relationship planets) sometimes go from year to year without appearing to move backwards through our skies. They maintained their march forwards throughout 2019. As Venus now slows, preparing to turn retrograde at the end of next week, its ponderous procession means the effects of its link with Neptune today will linger for longer than usual. We're all feeling more sensitive under the current world conditions. Staying receptive now will allow beauty into our hearts.

On the Horizon

Yesterday we talked about our hearts remaining receptive to the experience of something beautiful. But it's not just hearts that need to stay open. As Mercury and the Sun align, a broad mind and an active imagination will enable us to make the most of the current situation. We can't afford to doubt our intelligence or question the need to dream of something better. Even if some of our visions of the future are unrealistic, it's by looking to the horizon that we take our greatest steps forward.

Positive Plans

When I was looking at 2020, I predicted a 'reset button' that would 'change the world'... but the idea of global quarantine wasn't on my radar. Looking back, the signs were there; restrictive disciplinarian Saturn began its rare visit to the sign of society and friendship in March. Next week, it begins reversing. So will lockdown begin to ease? Although it's hard to be definitive, Venus and Mercury's link, suggests that instead of thinking about the worst, we can start making positive plans.

Supermoon

Whether it's hitting your eye like a big pizza pie, or turning blue as it sees you standing alone, the Moon regularly features in love songs. And there's something especially enticing about simmering Scorpio's Supermoon. Yet it's Mercury and Neptune's involvement that will set tongues wagging. Together, they encourage us to sing softly and sweetly if we want to win someone over. As long as we appeal to each other's imaginations, we can make the most of heightened emotions.

A Better Balance

The astrological weather report has focused on relationships recently. We've talked about the value of open minds and vivid imaginations. Now it's time to address power dynamics. While it can be healthy for someone to take charge, true partnerships, big and small, are formed without manipulation. We need to feel comfortable and invested in the roles we take on. Fortunately, as Mercury links harmoniously with Jupiter and Pluto this weekend, a better balance can begin to be negotiated.

Your Weekly Horoscope

It's such a busy week of astrological activity that, lockdown or not, we won't know whether we're metaphorically coming, going, or staying in. With three planets turning backwards, while two move ahead into new signs, it's discombobulating. As Venus' retrogradation prolongs her link with elusive Neptune, it may be difficult to define how we feel about unfolding events. Fortunately, as Mercury enters its Gemini home, we have the wit and wisdom to cut through the confusion.

Your Week Ahead - Love Focus

Remember, your Love Forecast today does not just cover romance. A love forecast may also have something to say about your family life, your closest friendships and even some of your most important working relationships.
