Taylor Swift

It's Taylor Swift's birthday today, and the cosmos' gift of Mars entering her sign of Sagittarius is a somewhat mixed blessing. Although it promises more excitement and adventure in her (and our) lives, it's not quite the ideal present for someone who wrote a break-up song called I Knew You Were Trouble! Fortunately, Mercury's move into Capricorn makes us all better at looking before we leap. Armed with facts and a more grounded perspective, where we boldly go now can be better than where we've been before.

Indignation Celebration

We all love a rant. But we don't all rant in the same way. Politicians ride waves of righteous indignation into office. Comedians, such as John Cleese, as Basil Fawlty, who beat his car with a branch, do it for a good laugh! Mars entering Sagittarius will lighten up some of the dark, difficulties we're dealing with today. We'll still be vexed by injustice, but it will be easier to see the funny side and put things in context. Things won't be a riot - there are serious issues to deal with. But just because something's 'important' doesn't mean it can't be fun.

Love Within

More Sally Fisher Art here.

This weekend, for the first time since May last year, Venus turns retrograde. Since it's one of the most important planets when it comes to love, money and aesthetics, our attitude towards these issues will change. Yet just because it's moving backwards doesn't mean we'll become lonelier, poorer or less attractive! Instead, we can reconnect with core values and see where superficial concerns weigh us down and distract our hearts from happier pursuits. And it helps us discover a love from within that's more powerful than we imagine.

Smell the Roses

Venus will soon appear to move backwards in the sky. But that isn't the only celestial headline this weekend. The Full Moon's impact deserves several column inches. But, in context with Venus' reversal, and with Jupiter's gentle encouragement, it's hard not to come to the conclusion that we're due for an awakening in matters of the heart. This isn't so much a 'wake up and smell the coffee' moment as it is an invitation to enjoy the roses. With ingenuity and a positive mindset, experiences founded on love and creativity will be more abundant.

Full Moon in Gemini

My son's desperate to see the new Spiderman movie tonight. But is it sensible to go to the cinema as worries about the Omicron variant gather pace? Cinemas mustn't start turning superheroes into superspreaders. Yet there's a difference between taking responsibility and restricting risk, and letting fear rule our hearts. This weekend, emotions can be entertained without being allowed to control the narrative. As the Full Moon arrives, there isn't just an opportunity to do what feels good. We can do so in ways that feel safe and right.

Your Weekly Horoscope

When Venus (love and relationships) turns backwards, it challenges our emotional security. Yet, this week, with a Full Moon linked to lucky Jupiter ahead of the Solstice, there are plenty of positive vibes to be gleaned about what can potentially unfold. We're being encouraged to reconnect with what gladdens our hearts, and to redefine how we see key relationships. It's time to feel better about who we are and what we've achieved. The cosmic combination gifts us with the ability to discover how much more we're capable of.
