Sensitive Souls

While it suits some couples to be joined at the hip, many strong relationships are based on healthy amounts of independence. After holding hands as they crossed from Capricorn into Aquarius, the passion and strength of Mars are still moulded to the creativity and kindness of Venus. Increased awareness of other people's sensitivities enables mutual flourishing and the confidence to encourage those we care about to do what's best for them. We'll all benefit from a more bespoke approach to our relationships today.

Tuesday March 8

International Women's Day

It's International Women's Day, and with Venus (love) and Mars (power) making themselves at home in innovative Aquarius, the stars are aligning to celebrate the historical breakthroughs and continuing achievements of women across the globe. As is often the case, some people will no doubt try to dilute the positivity of this day of celebration. The challenge, as always, is to rise above the fear of change, and focus on communicating positive messages. Real progress is possible today.

Planet Earth

'Orbiting Earth in the spaceship, I saw how beautiful our planet is. People, let us preserve and increase this beauty, not destroy it!' said Yuri Gagarin, the first person to journey into outer space, whose birthday is today. During his 1961 orbit, environmental concerns were rooted in nuclear testing rather than global warming. These days, satellites tracing similar routes collect data to help inform us about climate change. As Mercury links to Uranus, a vision of progress leads to surprisingly practical results.

Thursday March 10

Devil in the Detail

No matter how big the concept, or bold the vision, success requires a good grasp of the details. Often it's the difference between something remaining theoretical or it having tangible consequences. While the Sun travels between Jupiter and Neptune, as they move towards each other in Pisces, the cosmos is emphasising creativity, spirituality and compassion. As Mercury joins them today, with subtle shifts in understanding, vague ideas can begin to take much clearer shape.

Fighting for Peace

It's been impossibly hard to watch events unfolding in Ukraine; my heart goes out to everyone caught up in the conflict. Emotions transcend all language barriers; if only we lived in a world where tears were born from laughter and happiness rather than pain. As the idealistic Sun converges with empathetic Neptune this weekend, the cosmos reminds us of the power of compassion and understanding. Even if peace isn't achievable today, there are encouraging signs to suggest it's worth fighting for.

Your Weekly Horoscope

Airplane safety procedures advise us to attach our own oxygen mask before assisting others. Rushing into situations, without protection, might be brave, but such selflessness can add to the number of people needing to be rescued. As the Sun and Neptune converge, it would be easy to allow empathy to outweigh sensibility and allow grand gestures to divert attention from important details. The Full Moon reiterates the importance of looking after number one. That's the way to ensure that others get the help they need.
