New Year's Day

The New Year celebrations and fireworks signal a turning point as we move on from the challenges of the last 12 months and look ahead with sparkles of hope and excitement. And here are real reasons to be optimistic. This year, the changes we hope to see in the world begin in our hearts. And with Venus (love) and Pluto (transformation) combining this weekend, we couldn't ask for a better start! With Venus entering Aquarius ahead of the Full Moon, we're ready to embrace the future.

Remember, the Love Forecast for your sign today does not just cover romance. A love forecast may also have something to say about your family life, your closest friendships and even some of your most important working relationships.

Monday January 2

New You Day!

A New Year, a new you? The alignment of Jupiter and Uranus over the past weekend asked us to be open to new experiences. But suppose there isn't anything appealing on the horizon? Retrograde Mercury's link with Neptune helps us recognise that getting what we want might not be as straightforward as we'd like. But that's no reason to give up on a dream. The work we invest now will bring rewards, faster than we think. And the skies are offering innovative ideas about how to move things forwards.

Tuesday January 3

Open your Mind

Even when a challenging situation keeps recurring, it pays to remain open-minded in our approach to dealing with it. Re-examining a persistent problem can be liberating. Sometimes, even if we feel we know what to do, relying on ideas that have worked in the past can be too restrictive. As Venus enters Aquarius today, we'll soon find ourselves better equipped to explore different ways of thinking and feeling. And we can find new, creative ways to connect with the people that matter the most.

Wednesday January 4

Close to the Sun

The earth's orbit gets closest to the Sun today. From tomorrow, we'll begin moving away from the centre of the solar system. And with Uranus and the Sun aligning ahead of the Full Moon, themes of freedom, autonomy, and embracing life's adventures will be prevalent. Sometimes we fear letting go of habits and situations, even if we're only fooling ourselves into believing that they're good for us. But to live a dream, we must chase it. It's time to embrace the space to develop and grow.

Thursday January 5

Ice and Snow

Today the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival takes place in China. Unlike traditional sculpture, ice sculpture's beauty is ephemeral. It's a celebration of impermanence. Tomorrow's Cancerian Full Moon asks us to look at life in a similar way. What do we need to feel safe and supported? And where have we created 'structures' that are too rigid or restrictive? This is an opportunity to allow the space for movement into our lives. When we embrace change, problems can melt away.

Friday January 6

Uranus Quirk

As the Moon grows Full in Cancer, the cosmos provides a moment to appreciate the aspects of our lives that bring comfort and to indulge in some self-nurturing. With quirky Uranus adding energy to the mix, honest self-reflection can bring surprising insights that enable us to move on from outmoded ways of thinking and discover new hobbies and activities that bring satisfaction. With dynamic Mars preparing to move forwards, we'll also have the energy to instigate those positive changes.

Saturday January 7

Your Weekly Horoscope

As the Full Moon wanes, the silvery orb turns into a Golden Globe in perfect time for award season in Tinseltown. But life on planet Earth takes on a different hue this week. After several months of retrograde motion, the red planet, Mars, harmonises with Venus before changing direction. And while that could make for some spicy speeches, we'll all find it easier to communicate with passion. Even though action movies don't often get nominated, daring real-life deeds will be greatly appreciated.

Sunday January 8
