PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

March 13 2023 to March 19 2023

Monday March 13

Nominated!

Can a golden statue really define an actor's career? Surely the performance committed to a film remains the same - whether (or not) it's honoured by an award? Yet just being a nominee is enough to confer star power, add zeros to pay cheques, and ensure future projects are green-lit. As Mars moves to align with Neptune, appearances matter. While ideas with no substance will never win any prizes, if presented well, they stand a good chance of receiving positive attention today.

Tuesday March 14

Stellium

A cluster of three or more planets is referred to as a 'stellium'. In birth charts they highlight areas of our lives that demand attention. Currently, the Sun, Neptune and Mercury are converging. As this stellium links with dynamic Mars, it enables us to let go of feelings that have been taking up too much time and energy. These experiences brought challenges, but they were part of a process of preparation. Now we're ready to embrace the inspiring vision that lies ahead. It's time for positive change.

Wednesday March 15

the Ides of March

In Shakespeare's Julius Caesar, the soothsayer warns the emperor to 'beware the Ides of March', a date that's usually taken to mean March 15. Fortunately, not all fortune-tellers are purveyors of doom and gloom. And I've got good news! As the Sun, Neptune and Mercury converge we're seeing a vision of a brighter future. The goal, is to try to live up to the image we wish to project. The more we share our hopes, and practise what we preach, the greater the chance of making good things happen.

Thursday March 16

Passion

St Patrick's Day isn't until tomorrow but it doesn't mean we have to wait to start a party. As Mars leaves the shadow of its retrogradation to align with the Sun, anyone in the mood won't struggle to find people to have fun with: we'll all find we can express passions which might have been hidden. The Venus/Pluto link suggests feelings could be passionate. And the planet of love's move into Taurus urges the expression of joy. What's not to like?

Friday March 17

St Patrick's Day

Happy St Patrick's Day to my friends from the Emerald Isle. Today many pints of Guinness will be sunk to honour 'the old country' and celebrate the triumphs of Ireland and the Irish diaspora. And while I can't claim to have any green in my veins, I've spent enough time at folk clubs and ceilidhs to have an idea of the struggles and challenges that lie in this beautiful country's past. This weekend, as Mercury changes signs, it's by discussing plans for the future that excitement and hope can be generated

Your Weekly Horoscope

They say that too many cooks spoil the broth. And with the Equinox, Jupiter's alignment with newly Piscean Saturn, a New Moon, as well as Pluto entering Aquarius for the first time for over 300 years, the skies look like a chef's convention! This week, if unsolicited advice feels like criticism, it's time to shut out the noise, retake control and forge ahead. The best support won't present in hot chilli-style pronouncements. It's the more subtly seasoned advice that will enhance life's flavours in the most appetising ways.
