PREVIOUS THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY

February 20 2023 to February 26 2023

Monday February 20

New Seeds

Oh the frustration of feeling that our heart wants to rush ahead but we feel as if our hands are tied. It's similar to the desire to see an immediate result, yet knowing that a systemic shift needs to happen first. Today's New Moon encourages meaningful change that will make a long-term difference. And Venus entering Aries asks us to act on our best intentions. Whatever seeds we choose to plant will need time to grow. But, while the best time to start was yesterday, the second best is today.

Tuesday February 21

Pancake Day

It's Shrove Tuesday and for some people (like me) that means going out to buy the ingredients so we can pretend to use them making pancakes (when in truth we've got a packet of ready-made ones in reserve). Of course, it's best to be honest about our intentions. When we embrace the truth it frees us to be more creative. That doesn't mean experimenting with coconut and vanilla in our culinary exploits today. But as Mercury and Uranus align, invention is the key to progress.

Wednesday February 22

Lent

Christians around the world are starting their fasts for Lent in the lead up to Easter. But maybe we could all benefit from feeling a bit lighter on our feet? As Mercury and Mars harmonise today, they bring a flurry of ideas. The more nimble and quick-witted we are, the greater our ability to harness information and solve some of the problems we've been befuddled by. And with the Sun/Uranus link encouraging a sense of humour, raising a smile could be the key to gaining support... and success.

Thursday February 23

Sam Smith

Some people were upset by Sam Smith's BRIT Awards red carpet outfit. But while I won't be popping to the shops wearing anything similar, it's worth remembering the fuss caused by stars like David Bowie and Peter Gabriel, who, back in the 70s, also experimented with aesthetics. Progress doesn't always need to be a serious endeavour. Yesterday's Sun-Uranus alignment insists that expressing ourselves creatively can be fun! The more passionately we communicate the greater the joy.

Trusting your Heart

All week we've been talking about the advantages of thinking creatively. But maybe it's time to give our heads a rest and hand control over to our hearts? Sometimes the more we analyse, the harder it is to reach understanding. In such situations, we're better off trusting the choices we're drawn to organically, than following the direction that simply 'feels' right. As Venus and Mercury align this weekend, we can continue to debate this issue. But, deep down, we'll know which path is best to follow.

Your March Monthly Horoscope

More Sally Fisher Art here.

This month, as Pluto (transformation) Saturn (discipline) and Mars (power) all change signs, a powerful celestial procession takes place. The March of Destiny represents a fundamental cosmic energy shift. It's a chance to take control of the future and lay the foundations for a more purposeful, inspired way of living. Pursuing dreams is scary. But sticking to rigid frames of reference prevents us from embracing opportunities. So ignore the butterflies! Events this March are worth getting very excited about.

Remember, your Love Forecast today does not just cover romance. A love forecast may also have something to say about your family life, your closest friendships and even some of your most important working relationships.
