Dear Sarah Early in my pregnancy I looked at a book of names. Because I was convinced the baby would be a boy, I found it impossible to decide on a girl's name. I was also worried because I had been told to expect the birth on February 13, which sounded unlucky. That night, I dreamed I gave birth to a girl on January 29. When my husband asked me what we should call her. I replied: "Well, it has to be Natalie, because it means birthday - and the 29 is the sum of your birthday, March 20, and mine, May 9. Then I forgot about the dream, until after our daughter was born, on January 29. I realised the dream had come true so, of course, we named her Natalie. Jo, Leicester Dear Jo, A sceptic might claim that you noticed the name Natalie in the book and that, after dreaming of January 29, you subconsciously brought about a self-fulfilling prophecy. The sceptics, however, cannot prove this, nor can they satisfactorily explain where any of us go when we are asleep. Your dream is a wonderful illustration of the way in which dreams connect us with a storehouse of knowledge about past, present and future which lies deep within us all. ![]() (Sun Taurus, Moon Scorpio)
