| Seeds
on a rubbish dump I am planting seeds on a rubbish dump, feeling pleased as I anticipate how lovely the flowers will look. Then a woman calls me away and starts telling me about high-powered financial dealings she is involved with. I feel inadequate as I realise my inability to grasp such things. Suddenly, I realise I left my shoes at the dump and I am walking in my socks. I feel rather foolish. Kirsty, Durham Dear Kirsty, You write that you are about to start renovating a derelict house. Clearly, you enjoy seeing possibilities for growth in areas that others disregard. You perhaps don’t realise what an important, deeply feminine, creative instinct this is. The woman in your dream has no such doubts about her own self-worth. She represents commerce and materialism, and the notion that it is somehow much more valid to be a high-powered businesswoman than a humble creator of beauty. You allow yourself to feel demeaned in the face of her achievements and, as a result, inadvertently lose your own standpoint – as symbolised by the shoes. You feel foolish because you have been fooled into thinking that her view of life matters more than your own. Your dream is urging you to resist the pressure to conform to a different value system and to stay firmly, confidently connected to an important personal vision. ![]() (Sun Taurus, Moon Scorpio)
