Wedding feast I am at a wedding reception, although I do not know the bride and groom. We are all seated at a large table laden with the most wonderful food. We are given the signal to begin the feast. I have just picked up my knife and fork when I wake up. I am left with an overwhelming sense of disappointment. Alice, Tunbridge Dear Alice, Most dreams give us helpful messages about the emotional adjustments we need to make from day to day. Occasionally, however, we receive a dream of outstanding importance. It is my belief that yours is such a dream. It’s not the subject matter that makes me think this. A vision of a wedding might mean something different to somebody in another situation. I am, though, struck by the fact that you are 80 years old. People who have had near-death experiences often report feelings of indescribable bliss and say that their return to life was disappointing. Your dream is the equivalent of such an experience. You are being given a privileged glimpse of a day when your soul will depart its temporary abode on earth and perform the ultimate marriage with the infinite. The time has not yet come to partake of this divine feast – nor need it do so for many years. It is clear, though, that you have commenced the essential process of slow preparation for this wonderful spiritual celebration. ![]() (Sun Taurus, Moon Scorpio)
