Power for Aquarius Traditionally we associate power with a display of strength. The more aggressively a person behaves or the more energetically they assert themselves the more inclined we are to describe their activity as powerful. True power though, is different. Those who possess it have no need to boast about it. They can sit pretty, quietly confident of their abilities and their resources. When challenged, they do not even feel the need to defend themselves for they can easily distinguish between an arrogant taunt and a genuine threat. Events in 2001 have left you in no doubt about the extent of your worldly power. You have a surprisingly large amount of it and have been able to wield it most effectively at times. Your access to inner power though, has been intermittent. You have not felt able to stand back and leave things alone at times when it might have been far wiser to do so. Remember please, the Latin phrase "Astra inclinant non necessitant". The stars nudge us but they don't force us to do things. You are quite free this year to continue using your power injudiciously but if you can only find the courage to apply it more sparingly, you will discover it is ten times more effective. Money for Aquarius Mercury, the planet of commerce and communication, normally spends no more than three or four weeks in any zodiac sign. This ensures that we all, each year, get a fair share of its valuable influence. Clearly sensing though that you have a special need, Mercury is engineering a change to its celestial schedule. It entered your sign last Friday and it is not due to leave it properly until mid-March. It will pop out briefly during February but only to collect something that it needs in order to assist you on your road to wealth. What's lacking from your life now is objectivity. You have too much passion and emotion. As an Aquarian you are supposed to be impartial, analytical and aloof. Whereas, if you can only summon the courage of your convictions, you can make the whole world sit up, take notice... and ultimately follow you anywhere you need to go. It sounds easy. And in theory it is. You need no month-by-month guide to the year's ins and outs or ups and downs. That once piece of advice, digested, understood and FOLLOWED - will bring you all else you need. But to follow it, you will have to let go of something. Your obsession with the world of the logical. Your desire to have everything in your world respond to reason.
