How can people possibly describe power as elusive when our cultural vocabulary is replete with so many references to it. Language is based on human experience. We only have words for things that we know about. The more familiar something is to us, the more words we have for it. Clearly then, someone somewhere in our society must know an awful lot about power in all its various shapes and forms. What pity it isn't you! In 2001, whilst Pluto was opposing Saturn from your sign, you began to feel very disempowered. "Has it" you started to wonder, "now become my lot in life to sit and stare wistfully into space whilst those around me seize the day and steal the agenda." Just like someone trying to ascend an escalator that is going downhill, you became adept at the art of running as fast as you can just to stay in the same place. You had better watch out in 2002 because the cosmic traffic light is turning from red to green as we speak. After May, when the sky above your sign really clears, there will be a permanent power shift back in your favour. Money for Sagittarius Your flexible friend is worryingly rigid. Your piggy bank no longer rattles. Rarely have you been so broke or so anxious about your future financial prospects. What has gone wrong? You started 2001 with such great expectations. Everything looked as if it was going to be great. Somehow though, your good intentions merely paved the road to financial hell. You spent more than you should have done. You earned less than you hoped to. You missed a trick - or so it seems. Actually, your outlook is excellent. It is a good job that you have been through so much hardship. It means that you are entering 2002 with thoughts fully focused. You know what you need and you have a fairly good idea of where, just possibly, you may be able to get it from. It is a long shot. It is likely to take a lot of effort and energy. Results will probably not come quickly but if, this year, you succeed with your plan there will eventually be great relief and celebration. Nor, indeed, is it going to be quite the same kind of year as any you have ever experienced before. In one way, of course, things will seem very familiar. Superficially, events and emotions will follow a similar pattern to the one that they formed in 1990. There'll be a dramatic sense of movement and change. You'll feel as if amazing opportunities are opening up before you. It will seem, very much, as if you are fulfilling a lifelong fantasy. You will begin to feel, surprisingly early in the year, as if you have conquered an enemy and attained, in the process, a position of great success. The planets talk of elevated social status - and of your ability to win impressive power. All that is inspiring in one way - and very much remniscent of a journey you last took through life just over a decade ago. Yet there are marked differences between that one and this one. The players on your stage are no longer the same. Nor are all the backdrops as they were. The tunes are being sung in new keys and new arrangements - at different points in the unfolding drama. The emphasis and the pace of the story is not as it was. Yet key aspects of the plot are undoubtedly similiar. Recognise as much and cast your mind back over all that you learned in that nearly-forgotten year. You are older. You are wiser. What mistakes did you make then that you no longer have the time and leisure to make? Among other things, this year, you will be avenging an injustice, righting a wrong and repaying a debt to the past. You will also though, be forging ahead in a new and wonderful direction - albeit one that undoubtedly takes you towards great responsibility. Concerns about stamina or strength will not stay with you long this year. You'll have plenty of both. But you may still have to conserve it, for you are soon likely to be setting yourself a task of Herculean proportions. At the heart of this - and pretty much everything else you do in 2002 - is a deep belief. It will alter as you make new discoveries through the year - but it won't go away. And ultimately, wonderfully, as you approach the end of the year, it will be vindicated.
